What a TAR is — and what it is not
A TAR is a trigger assisted reset system: it resets the trigger for you so follow-up shots come faster. One trigger pull still fires one round, every time. It is not a forced reset trigger, it does not fire bursts, and it does not convert anything to automatic fire.

Will an AR-15 Kabuto work in my AR9?
Only buy a part listed for AR9. The options on this page are the ones tagged for it — do not assume a rifle-only listing carries over.
Do I need a different buffer?
Blowback 9mm builds are sensitive to buffer weight and spring rate. We do not claim our AR buffer weights for AR9 — get that combination right for your own build before adding weight.
Is an AR9 TAR legal?
Yes. One trigger pull fires one round. A TAR assists reset; it is not an FRT and does not fire bursts.
